Colleagues,

I have a core user who wishes to quantitatively determine the amount of
protein in proteoliposomes (he uses phospholipid vesicles as a vehicle
for protein delivery). What is the best way to quantitate the protein?
I suggested our quantitative AAA method (we use ninhydrin analysis on a
Beckman 6300 Analyzer). What special procedures or methods are needed
to remove the phospholipid (i.e., delipidation) from the sample in order
to prepare the sample for acid hydrolysis (6N HCl) and quantitate the
protein by AAA?

Thank you in advance for your help.
