The only way we purify such long-mers here is by Polyacrylamide Gel
Elecrophoresis (PAGE). The OPC or C-18 cartridge is not very efficient
after 35-40 bases or so. I usually tell the customer(s) who want this
type of oligo that a 1.0 umole synthesis is ideal but that a 0.2 would
make the grade. Purify the 1.0 umole on two 1.5mm, urea-page gels (the
0.2 umole can be purified on one).
