The Wisconsin Sequence analysis package (GCG) has just such a routin
that allows you to re-define any set of keys to be whatever you want. The
version we have runs on a VMS system but surely there are similar
programs for the desktop world. If you have access to the Wisconsin
Package at Bayer you could use it for data entry.
