We use acoustical foam to reduce noise from pumps/chillers in our lab. The
foam we get is from McMaster-Carr Supply company. There are a few
different types and price ranges. McMaster has an LA warehouse which is
probably the one you would need to call. The phone number is (310)
692-5911 if you want to get a catalog.
To attach the foam to the wall we use an adhesive like "liquid nail". Once
you put this stuff up it's up. You can also cut smaller pieces from it to
stick in tighter places. It has really helped our labnoise. Without the
foam I think we all would be deaf.
