Post translational addioton of Lys.

One of the folks at the Med school asked me if anyone has "observed " or heard
of post translational addtion of lysine? I seem to remember a paper that
concluded there was, in a now forgotten protein, a post translational addtion
of arg but the memory is fuzzy. Don't know all the detains but I know the work.
I suspect that there is a lys MW difference in the MS data.
Inconsequential: I'm home recovering from hip replacement surgery. Working
vicariously through e-mail and the phone. Why does everything break when I'm
not in the lab?....jeez.
