Hello
I have been told that heating RP columns reduces the amount of peptide
one loses during purification. This is a serious problem for us, as we
deal with quite basic peptides, and I understand that incomplete capping
of the silica matrix could lead to retention. How can we efficiently
thermostat a preparative column (3 cm diameter, 30 cm length. I was
wondering if thermal tape could be the answer. We have a local company
that make thermostated holders for the solvent reservoirs.

Thanks, Alex
