Hi Everyone,
I have a question for the grey beards/grey hairs. When
phosphoserine loses H3PO4, the product is called dehydroalanine. What is
the trivial name for the phosphothreonine analog? Dehydroaminobutyric
acid? 2-amino-2-butene-oic acid? A wise man (Ken Walsh) once told me that
most folks' limitation in biochemistry arises from their ignorance of
organic chemistry. Its a good thing ignorance isn't painful : ).
Best Regards,
