a friend of mine is working with onion and garlic essential oils
(extracted by himself), and used them like microbial inhibitors. Our
problem now is to determinate the SH groups concentrations in the samples,
it means, the oil in very low concentration (10E-04 to 10E-08 ml oil/ml
medium). He is applying the original Ellman method (Arch. Bioch. Biophys.
82, 70-77, 1959). Question: do we need to use some special treatmet to the
samples (oil plus medium)?
