While I appreciate the fact that people need a source of good
advice and information on biotechnology, I'm a bit concerned
about the use of this email list for such a purpose. As I
understand it, the original intent of this list is to support
biomedical research *core facilities*, and to promote exchange
of information to help employees of those cores. If instead we
become a general worldwide resource for students, faculty and
staff of biomedical research labs, I fear we will be inundated
by queries like this one.

Perhaps the officers of the ABRF and/or the list manager would
be so kind as to clarify the purpose of this email list, in
case I've misunderstood.

Don't get me wrong, Sam - if I felt I could help you, I'd be
glad to send you (via private email) whatever information I
have. However, I value this forum especially because it is an
undiluted source of advice on issues pertinent to my job.
