Searle, the Pharma Sector of the Monsanto Life Science Company has
several positions open within their Discovery Research group (based
in St. Louis, Missouri).
Protein Biochemist (Job Code: PB-AC)
A BS/MS is required. The selected individual will have experience in
the areas of analytical protein chemistry and structural
characterization of proteins. Experience in the areas of protein
purification and analytical instrumentation, as well as the ability to
work with low levels of sample is desired. An understanding of uses of
mass spectrometry and conformational analysis for protein
characterization would also be beneficial.
Protein Biochemist
PhD or equivalent with experience in a pharmaceutical or academic
research setting required; lab experience required in analytical
protein chemistry, particularly in the areas of protein modification and
the conformational characterization of proteins. The candidate would be
part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on enhancing the stability and
in vivo efficacy of proteins through chemical modifications or
alternative approaches. Knowledge of novel approaches to protein drug
delivery would be beneficial.
