Hello Jim,
I once had a similar problem, a peptide which did not contain any group
which could be possitively charged and in addition a phosphorylation. I
increased the formic acid in my ESI solvent to 1 % (50 % ACN or MeOH in
water) and it worked fine. I also tried a negative ESI under basic
conditions...nothing. Just try it.
