1-We=ABve been running 2D gels using Immobiline DryStrip gels for
the first dimension in the Multiphor II system and the Hoefer SE 600
series vertical electrophoresis system for the second dimension.
Due to the width of the Hoefer system gels we are only
using the 13 cm Immobiline DryStrips (3-10 pH gradient). In order to use
the 18 cm Immobiline gels we need a different second dimension=20
apparatus . Would the Iso-Dalt system (Pharmacia-Hoefer) be a good choic=
e?
Does anyone have a better suggestion?
2- What would be the best choice for scanner/densitometers and
for 2D-PAGE analysis software? Is Mellanie II 2D PAGE the best software?=20
In which hardware does it run better, Macintosh, PC or Sun?
I also would like information about the Phoretix 2D Gel analysis software=
