Job Opening at Hewlett-Packard
Biochemist or Biologist
The Hewlett-Packard Waldbronn Analytical Division, located near
Karlsruhe, Germany, has worldwide responsibility for the development,
manufacturing and marketing of liquid chromatographs and other
products for pharmaceutical laboratories. For our activities in
developing and marketing products and services to drug discovery
departments we are looking for an Biochemist or Biologist in our
international, team-based work environment, demanding a high degree of
creativity, initiative and self direction.
Responsibilities include
propose new product ideas and help with the development of user
requirement specifications
identify and develop applications for new and existing products,
together with users of such equipment in pharmaceutical drug discovery
publish the results in Hewlett-Packard customer journals and in
scientific journals
present results to the Hewlett-Packard development, marketing and
sales teams and to current and future users of the products at
scientific symposia
The ideal candidate has
an advanced degree in lifescience or molecular biology
laboratory experience in use of screening technologies for
biomolecules, Western Blot analysis, Radio Immuno-Assay, ELISA or
Affinity Chromatography and/or experience in protein characterization
oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English
interest in working in an international marketing team
