Deb,
I can't really foreward the replys as I have deleted them from my
computer but I do have hard copies that I can summarize

Suggestion#1: There may be a change in polymerization of acrylamide if
the gel is too close to a magnetic field. Meaning are my gels too close to
a mass spec, which they are not
Suggestion#2: The environemnt of HIS is neutralizing the side chain of
CYS making it appear to look like a Lys to the enzyme. In addition, this
respondant informs me they have noticed cleavage of Gln and His on the
C-terminal side using trypsin.

That's about all I got. Haven't observed this again so far. I'll
let the bulletin board know if I do and maybe I'll have a better idea then.

Joe
