Perform technical procedures with an emphasis on protein production and
purification, recombinant DNA techniques and biochemical assays.
Maintain accurate records for research protocols and techniques.
Maintain strains and vectors, demonstrate proper lab techniques to
staff,
and ensure equipment is in operable condition.
Qualifications include a BS, preferably a PhD in molecular biology,
biochemistry
or related field, excellent organizational and communication skills,
demonstrated
ability to provide accurate and timely materials. Have a minimum of
four years of
academic or industry lab experience with protein overproduction and
purification
and host/vector systems such as E.coli, and baculovirus. Must be able
to work
effectively within a diverse laboratory environment.
