Len, If you want really low cost check out National Instrument
(1-800-ieee488 or 512-794-0100 or the web). They sell the solfware for
making data collection systems. You might have to do some programing to
make it do what you want it to do.

But I thought that Beckman System Gold software had an export data function
to get it into dos spreadsheet format, but is based on GEM Windows (Digital
Research). So it will be Beckman to dos. Then import dos data to win95 (or
win 98 in a couple of months).

We have for some years used Beckman System Gold software to collect and
process the data on two channels from our ninhydrin analyser. Since we wish
to interact more efficiently with the in-house spreadsheets for producing
results, we wish to move to a Windows 95-based system, but at reasonable
cost. Beckman Gold Nouveau is too expensive as is Waters Millennium, and
anyway we do not need the control side of the programme, just data
collection and integration.
Having had a few demo disks there is now a shorlist of the following -
Chromeleon (Gynkotek), PeakNet (Dionex), ChromPerfect (Justice) and EZChrom
(Scientific Software). Does anyone have any opinions on these or other low
cost systems?

Len
