Position Description: We are seeking a PhD-level candidate for a
preclinical pharmacokinetic research scientist position. Our client
biopharmaceutical company develops and manufactures novel human
therapeutics and this person will be responsible for supervising a small
laboratory group. The Pharmacokinetic laboratory performs drug
distribution and elimination studies along with developing, and validatin=
g
immunoassays on preclinical samples in order to determine pharmacokinetic
and antigenic properties. The successful candidate will also be responsib=
le
for determination of pharmacokinetic parameters of drug candidates, both
protein-based and small molecules, providing advice to product developmen=
t
teams in the field of pharmacokinetics, design and execution of appropria=
te
studies and drafting of reports to support regulatory filings.
Qualifications:
=B7 PhD with a minimum of 2 years of experience in pharm/biotech industry
specifically working with protein-based therapeutics.
=B7 Must be experienced in assessing degradation of proteins by a variety=
of
biochemical techniques.
=B7 Experience in drug distribution and elimination studies.
=B7 Expertise in validating immunoassays on preclinical and clinical samp=
les.
=B7 Responsible for determination of pharmacokinetic parameters of
protein-based drug candidates (small molecule exerience is optional/plus).
=B7 Comprehensive understanding of the role of pharmacokinetics.
=B7 Experience supervising laboratory personnel is desirable.
