A few days ago David Schooley posted a message in which he said that one
could not trust ABI on the usage of reagents on the Procise "...as you can
rarely use all of a bottle of reagent and they recommend against mixing
bottles."
I have routinely mixed bottles of reagent (with the exception of R2) since
I started running the instrument in May of 1995 and have not seen any
problems. In fact the service engineer who installed the instrument was
the one who suggested that I do so.

As for the statement that "...if a bottle is low at beginning of sequence
analysis you cannot refill it during the analysis." One can always place a
pause on a run, add a bottle of reagent, and resume the run. I have done
this a number of times without problems.
