It's a good idea to remember when using TBA and similar cationic
ion-pairing reagents that you will never be able to use the column again
for samples for MS analysis as they will have whopping big m/z 242 peaks
(right, Hong?) in blank fractions. Also, RBA is exceptionally corrosive to
silica-based columns and best used on polymeric supports.
