I would also add that Waters seemed to have a more well thought out database for data storage. This is coming from a long-time HP user.
I would be interested in the thoughts of others on the above matters as it would be useful in our decision for a near-term purchase.

Li Hong,
I have been using H/P's series 1100, with great success. One weak
component appears to be the temp. controlled auto-sampler, but H/P has
been diligent in pursuing the problem. I have been using the
semi-prep/analytical mode, but the system is supposedly capable of
microbore as well. The learning curve for the software is steep in that
there are many parameters to consider, but rather intuitive after you
become accustom to the idiosyncrasies.
