Our experience from providing a form with each sample or data set is about a
3% return. An annual questionnaire got about 5%. Knocking on every user's
door is probably the best way. Getting copies of papers that cite use of your
resource is one of the important tasks in documenting productivity. If you
devise an effective mechanism to do it, please post it.
