Re: Which Procise?

Bryan,

At first, I too wondered why anyone would need 4 cartridges in the new
494 Procise instruments. Now I am very glad we made the extra
investment to get the 4 cartridge model. The major advantage is that
I can load up the instrument and literally go away for the weekend and
have all 4 samples done by Monday. We routinely set up to precycle
discs with biobrene on any open cartridges whenever time is available.
This way no time is wasted waiting to load samples. It's a good
investment as long as the instruments are operating continuously.

Hello folks,
we have a good chance of obtaining funds to replace one of
our 9-year old 477a's with a Procise. I don't think the cLc is in the
running because of having to go back to longer cycle times, but I would
welcome opinions as to the relative merits of a 1, 2 or 4-cartridge
model. Is it worth the extra money for the convenience of loading
several samples at once? or am I missing something?.
Regards from Scotland,
Bryan.
