I have been asked to look into LC-MS instrumentation for my research
group. We are hoping to purchase a system, but no one in my group has
any experience with running a mass spec (and I have no experience
analysing the data). We would be using it exclusively for peptide and
protein analysis, including glycoproteins.
Currently we have received product literature on LC-ESI/MS from HP,
Waters, and PE-Sciex. I am wondering if anyone has advice for me on
which system would be best, comments on the
advantages/disadvantages of the different manufacturers, or if anyone
would suggest other manufacturers to look at.
