Hello Janice,
Yes I have had problems with Perseptive Service too--starting with a delay
of three months for the installation of my Maldi-tof about 1 1/2 year ago.
They are always apologetic, and I have had calls from vice-presidents
apologizing and occasional very quick service with freebies thrown in to
make up for the problems.
I keep hearing news of more servicemen hired, and of course now the
PE/Perseptive merger will reorganize their service department I presume,
but so far what you describe is par for the course as I have experienced
Perseptive.
Good luck. I have had the best experience with them being persistent
and polite. They also monitor this forum--bet you get an apologetic call
today!

Weather Inconsequential: Looks like the storm that was in Berkley
yesterday will be here today. It's hazy and humid--just the kind of
weather that brings in the fierce thunderstorms and tornados when a front
pushes through.
