While in principal I agree with Joe that this forum should not be used as
a marketing medium, I feel I must disagree with him in this instance. It is
clear to me from John Crea's message thats his intention was more to inform
members of the ABRF as to the availability of an experimental material
which they as individuals had inquired after. I had listened to Amina Woods
talk in San Diego and wanted to try this technique too, but the material
simply wasn't readily available from 3M. I know it's a fine line to walk
sometimes, but we should be careful not to discourage companies in their
effort to supply us with unique and otherwise unavailable research tools.
Just my opinion. By the way, $50/sheet? That's a lot to cleanup samples for
MALDI!
