Has anyone done a conversion of the ABI 430A peptide synthesiser to operate
with either a Mac or a PC computer. We have got two 430A's both in
excellent working order but we need more computer control than the
instrument has available to use modified or new chemistries. PE/ABI have
advised us that they do not know of anyone who has carried out such a
conversion. The alternative is to buy a new instrument!!!!.
If anyone knows of someone who either has made such a change or has
attempted it could they please let us know. It would be greatly
appreciated.
