Can any of you ABRFers help us out?

We are being pushed to maintain a chemical inventory for individual
laboratories which includes ACS numbers, quantity, storage conditions,
location, etc. as well as an ability to imput the data into a central
university data base. Each lab using different database systems including
some programs from local programmers that may have bugs doesn't seen to be
the way to go.

1. What systems are other instituions using.

2. Is there something better than and cheaper than ChIM from Aldrich?
