Hi all,

we are considering the purchase of a cation exchange preparative column
to purify around 300 mg of a recombinant protein per run. We are looking
for a good compromise between resolution, high flow rate and cost.
Our options at the moment are :
Shodex SP-2025 - 20x150mm - 10um - 1000A - $4000
Perseptive Biosystem PorosSP/H- 10x100mm - 10um - $3400
Macherey Nagel Nucleogel SCX - 25x150mm - 10um - $4200

We are very attracted by the high flow rate, loading capacity and separation
speed permitted by the Poros packings but we wonder about its resolving
power..
Does anybody of you have some experience with these columns or do you
have some other good option to recommend?

Thanks in advance for any help!!!
