Ulf,
Perseptive has a kit, called Sequazyme (part no. 2-3143-00) called a
"Peptide Mass Standards kit which contains low, medium and high mass range
standard mixtures. Highest standard mix is insulin, thioredoxin,
apomyoblobin and BSA. There are also peptide mixtures selected to optimize
for timed ion selection and PSD. I'm certain you can put this type of thing
together yourself, but Perseptive has worked to optimize the ratios of the
peptides to try to give equivalent peak heights for the calibrants. Our kit
came with the new instrument, so I haven't a clue how much these cost.
