What is in a name?

Dear ABRF friends,

I became a members of ABRF while attending the Protein Society
meeting in San Diego and more so I just started running a core facility at
that time. Since then, ABRF is my bread and butter and this forum has
become a valuable source of information. I am against the name change
and second the motion by Lowell Ericsson, Greg Grant, Richard
Laursen, Lisa and many others.
On the lighter side.. Well, names mean a lot to a familly, society, city and
of course to a country. Some of the important name changes in recent
times are:
Casius Clay ------> Mohammed Ali
Peking -----------> Bejing
Burma -----------> Myanmer
Bombay -----------> Mumbai
Washington Natl. Airport ----------> Ronald Regan Intl.

There were very intense debates on these name changes, so it is
healthy to here the views of several ABRF members against the name
change.
