My observations are the same as Rod's. I used the HP sequencer for almost
4 years and did not replace the flask cap assembly due to a sealing problem
between the cap and the flask. Is it possible that you are consistently
"cross threading" the flask when you put it back on the cap? I did notice
that this was very easy to do, but was still able to get a good seal once
the flask was properly installed. Also, I did replace the seal between the
flask and the cap on a fairly regular basis as with the frequency of flask
changes (every 100 cycles) I found that the ring would need replacing about
every 3 months.

Hope you get your problem solved.
