Hello everyone, we run the peptide and protein purification service for
our institute. We would like to change our 10 years old Waters system with
two new HPLCs, one analytical and one preparative (up to 50 ml/min)
possibly of the same manufacturer so that they can be controlled by a
single software and we can also easily scale-up the purifications. We use
mostly ion exchange and reverse phase chromatography. Obviously we are
looking for the best compromise between quality, price and easy
maintenance.
We have seen the Pharmacia AKTA systems with the UNICORN
software, does anybody have experience with these systems, also from the
point of view of the maintenance or could you suggest other good options
from your personal experience?
Any advice will be really useful, we don't want commercial advertisements
but just the point of view of the ABRF scientists.
Thanks in advance
