DNASeq: problems with Hamilton syringe for loading

We are using the Hamilton syringe to load 64 lane gels on the ABI 377XL.
Two problems have appeared- the syringes(bottom) get bent over time, and
the syringes tend to "catch" ie picking up and releasing the sample is not
smooth . We have tried to grease the Hamilton with mineral oil, WD40, and
vaseline spray (eppendorff). The vaseline spray works best. I would like to
hear how other labs are using to keep their Hamilton syringes smooth,
straight, and unclogged.
