Ken,

I don't remember who was advertising what at ABRF, but I have used three
different columns that gave good results with a TFA free system (HAc and
HFBA instead of TFA). These were:

MS Magic from Michrom BioResources (916) 888-6498
Monitor from Column Engineering (800) 707-4752
Targa from Higgins Analytical (650) 988-8930

I have done most of my work with the MS Magic material, and found it works
well for most proteins and peptide maps. As with most RP-HPLC if you pick
the right protein you can make any one of these columns look better than
the others.

Hope this helps

Colleagues,

my (poor) memory is that a vendor was promoting some reversed phase columns
at ABRF98 that didn't require TFA. The chromatograms that were displayed
were pretty nice looking (although vendor chromatograms usually are).

I didn't get any information at the meeting was wondering who that vendor
was and if anyone out there had any experience with these columns?

Regards...Ken
