Ping, we had this problem once with "old" TFA. It turned out that the TFA
had turned yellow in the dark galss bottle and was taken out with a yellow
pipet tip---nobody recognized the yellow color. Even after HPLC no peptide
mass was visible, only the TFA clusters. After using new colorless TFA
everything was fine. Check your TFA.
