We have a client who wants a peptide synthesized with two Lys
separated by Gly spacers, each to be tagged with a different fluorophor.
I know little about orthogonal protection beyond the Novabiochem catalog.
Is the Alloc group suitable for this? Is the deprotection similar to that
of Allyl Asp or Glu given in the Nova catalogue, and is this the procedure
of Barany mentioned in a reference we do not have easy access to??
We are doing FMOC syntheses. Lastly, anyone have a good general
reference to orthogonal protection strategies for FMOC synthesis?
