Are there still a lot of in-house core facilities that synthesize
DNA or have most people switched over to outsourcing?

Are there plans for another ABRF "Multi-Facility Survey of
Oligonucleotide
Synth?

The NC State Univ DNA synthesis facility called Nucleic Acids Facility
has specialized and does custom synthesis only...DNA and RNA with the
offering of purification in several manners. We found that the 50nM
scale 20mers could not compete with the commercial market price - so we
don't do those any more.

sincerely,

Winnell
