We have been making 1,200 oligos a year for the last three years. This was a surprise to us, had we known we would have bought a different synthesizer. I have attributed our oligo business to a few factors. Our turn around time (about24 hours for a high quality crude oligo), we deliver the oligos to the labs, we will remake an oligo once no questions asked, we will help design the oligo if we are asked.
One interesting phenomenon is our oligo business takes a jump in the winter months. I have assumed this to be because shipping oligos in is not always a next day proposition especially with our winters.
