Subject: DNASeq:Capillary electrophoresis sequencing

I would like to hear from anybody using capillary electrophoresis for
sequencing. Please let me know about the quality of the data and what your
experience with the instrument has been. We are using ABI377's with 64
lanes. Any comparison with this instrument will also be of value to me. I
am also interested in the name of the manufacturer of CE machines.

I was in ABI users meeting here in Atlanta, GA, yesterday and found out that the company
(Applied Biosystem) is going to introduce its 96 caplilarry electrophoresis instrument for
sequencing in September this year. The instrument will be available in or around first
quarter of 1999. I havn't used any capillary for sequencing.
