Funny you should ask. I'm working on a project to optimize conditions for
on-line LC-ESI/MS of Largish Intact Proteins. And the next study (probably
next week) will be to try HILIC on a PolyLC PolyHydroxyethyl Aspartamide
column. It looks like an attractive combination since the mobile phases can
be volatile and relatively ESI-friendly. Furthermore, the same type of
column can be used in a denaturing SEC mode using 50mM Formic Acid as a
mobile phase. I guess Andy Alpert at PolyLC (410-992-5400)will have the
most up to date info on MS applications. I'll be interested in what other
response you get and any experiences you have with the technique.
