probably the number of people involved in Microarray core facilities is for the moment very limited. A survey by the ABRF for these new core facilities probably does not exist yet.
Nevertheless, I would like (better I need) to have a second opinion on:
- the critical number of people needed to run such a core facility
=> taking in account hollidays, the educational needs of the personel and the technical improvements which happen almost every couple of months.
- The budgets forseen for running the facility (so not the budgets to start from scratch) and the users fee asked.
=> can you write off the project in 5 years?
- Which are the pittfalls you've been running in when setting up this sort of core facilities, and would like to warm me/others for.
