A Mass Spectrometry Lab Manager position is available immediately in the
College of Medicine, University of Florida for a new mass spectrometry
facility (LC-MS/MS, CE-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS) at the University's NIH funded
General Clinical Research Center (GCRC). The individual will be responsible
for developing and applying new analytical methods for a wide variety of
biomedical studies, including structural identification and quantification
of DNA, proteins, peptides, nucleotides, drugs and other small molecules.
The Lab Manager will also oversee daily operation and maintenance of the
instruments and will assist in supervising technical staff. Preferred
candidates will have a Ph.D. and two years of experience, but applicants
with an M.S. degree with exceptional research experience will also be
considered. Expertise is essential in analytical mass spectrometry and in
the application of LC-MS/MS or CE-MS/MS methods to biological samples. The
