Look at a recent article in JASMS (issue of September, volume 9, number 9, pages

977-980) written by Mehdi Moini et al. They used sodium trifluoroacetate in
acetonitrile (nice clusters!) to calibrate a Finnigan LCQ instrument from mass
m/z 100 to 4000. I do not see why you should not be able to use this mixture for

a LCT.
