Dear Brett,

Chloramine T (iodobeads) and lactoperoxidase catalyse oxidative iodination
of histidine (present in angiotensin III) in addition to tyrosine. Both
amino acids can be oxidised by two iodines each; this fits with the
increase of four iodine mass to angiotensin III following iodination.
Refer to page 3.3.2 of Colligan, et al. Current Protocols in Protein
Science (John Wiley and Sons, NY) for the sites of iodination.
