We found a neat trick using a _small_ pair of Channel-lok pliers. Peal
the plastic ring back over the top of the can by gripping the side of the
ring with the longer plier and the top of the ring with the shorter side.
Then peal the lid off by putting the longer plier in the groove between
the lid and the can while the shorter side grips the top of the lid. One
has to adjust the width of the channel-lok to get the best grip. Wide to
remove the plastic ring; narrow to remove the metal lid.

This is easier to do than to describe how to do it. Hood, gloves, face
shield, etc. Also, the same pair of pliers serves as the R3 bottle
opener.
