Removing proteins from PVDF

For what it's worth, you might try a solution consisting of 40% formic acid,
20% propionic acid, and 40% water. This is a great solvent. Admittedly, I
haven't tried it on PVDF, but it will readily strip proteins off many other
membranes, and my guess is that it will work for PVDF too. And since all
the components are volatile, they're easy to get rid of. If you try it,
please let me know how it works.
