Hey Marcus, hey Jos,
I think I had both problems some time ago. The 113 turned out to be a
Na+(TFA)n aduct which came from old TFA. This TFA had been stored in a dark
bottle and was taken out with a yellow pipet tip, so nobody recognized the
yellow color of the TFA. Control your TFA.
The polymer from eppendorf tubes....did you really use eppendorf (TM) tubes
or something which looks like or did you use tubes with soft caps. I had a
problem using siliconized tubes (bought from ....I forgot), even in
standard spry we couldnot see anything except a polymer series, but I have
no data left from this. The same happened with reaction tubes with soft
caps, something came out of the softcaps and suppressed all peptide
signals.
I hope this could help a little.
Manfred
