Dear Richard,
We have obtained reproducible amino acid analysis results from samples with
large amounts of brown crud. (We use a Beckman 6300 with 110 degree HCl
(usually vapor) hydrolysis.) I am worried after reading your message.
Have we just been lucky? Have our results just been reproducibly low?

Weather Incosequential: It has turned crisp and cold here. Most of the
leaves are off of the trees. My cub scout den is camping with a boy scout
troop again this weekend--luckily we have a heated cabin to sleep and eat
in, but it may be an awfully cold five mile hike Saturday!
