I have received several requests to reveal the identity of our
PICO-Tag substitute. The column is Inertsil ODS-2 (5 micron) 250x3.0
mm, Metachem Technologies. Gradient conditions: Solvent A - 0.14 M
NaOAc, 4% AcCN, 0.05% TEA, 0.01% EDTA, solvent B - 60% AcCN/40% H2O;
0-54 % B in 22 min (curve 0, Beckman Gold), then 54-100% B in 2 min;
100% 6 min, flow 0.5 ml/min. Cost $395.

Metachem offers different conditions. Column Inertsil ODS-2, 150x4.6
mm ($365), gradient conditions: A - 0.1 M NH4Ac, 5% AcCN, B - 60%
AcCN/40% H2O, 0-30 % B in 8 min, then 30-100% B, flow 1 ml/min.
in 6 min. Their conditions did not work quite well for us.

Word of caution. We have started using this column only recently,
sofar around 50 inj. Thus, I don't know its reliability.

Finally, I'm not affiliated in any way with MetaChem.

If someone need more information, let me know.

Thanks,
ma
