Hello!
We have synthesized a peptide with a fluorescent dye, NBD
(7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazole) attached at the N-terminus via an
aminohexanoic acid spacer arm. We have a product which looks OK by all
criteria except the MALDI-TOF shows the expected molecular peak but
two sizable satellites corresponding to M-16 and M-32. These peaks do
not appear in the spectrum of the dye-free peptide. Any ideas what
they may be? Thank you for your help.
